What It Means to Have Someone in Your Corner Without Handing Everything Over
My mother figured it out alone because she had to; that doesn’t have to be everyone’s story.
My mother became an emancipated minor at 16. If you don't know what that means legally, it means the court recognized her as an adult before she was one by age. It means she navigated systems, paperwork, and decisions that most adults aren't ready for, and she did it largely on her own.
She figured it out. She always did.
And the way she did it was by finding information, absorbing it, and sharing it with everyone around her. Knowledge, to my mother, was never something you hoarded. It was something you passed. She believed, deeply, that when you share what you know, you give someone else a fighting chance. Knowledge shared is power given.
That belief is the entire foundation of the KSL package.
KSL stands for Knowledge Sharing Legal Counsel. It's the part of my practice built for the person who is not looking for someone to take over. You're going to handle this yourself. You just need someone to help you understand what you're looking at before you walk into that room.
In legal terms, this is called unbundled legal services, or limited scope representation. It means instead of hiring an attorney to do everything, you get targeted guidance on exactly the piece you need. I review your documents. I explain what they mean. I help you prepare. And then you take it from there.
Here's who this is for. You got a notice you don't fully understand and you need someone to read it with you and tell you what it actually says. You have a document someone handed you and your gut says read this carefully before you sign it. You're preparing for a hearing and you want to know what to expect before you walk into that room. You're filling out court forms and you want to make sure you're doing it right. You're handling your own legal matter and you just want someone in your corner who can tell you what you're actually looking at.
You're capable. You're resourceful. You just want to understand the full picture before you make a move. That's not a weakness. That's exactly the kind of client this package was built for.
The package comes in three tiers. The Clarity Bundle, at $850, gets you one document review, one 60-minute advisory session, and a plain-language written summary of everything we covered. The Guided Strategy Bundle, at $1,600, goes deeper with two document reviews, two sessions, and court form review. And the Court Ready Package, at $1,950, is for the client who is anticipating a court matter and wants to go in prepared, not panicked. It includes two document reviews, two advisory sessions, a court preparation guide, and a 30-minute check-in. This is a preparation process, not a last-minute rescue. The earlier you start, the better positioned you are.
One thing I want to be clear about, because transparency matters to me: KSL is advisory and coaching only. I am your guide and your translator. I am not your representative. I won't be appearing in court with you or filing anything on your behalf. What I will do is make sure you walk in prepared and knowing your rights.
My mother would understand that distinction completely. She never needed anyone to do it for her. She just needed the information.
This package is for people like her.
If you've been trying to navigate a legal situation on your own and you're ready to stop guessing, I'd love to help. Fill out the intake form here and we'll figure out which tier makes sense for where you are. Have a question first? Reach out through the contact form and we'll start there.
