Self-Representation Guidance

Knowledge Sharing Legal Counsel

Clarity. Strategy. Confidence. For those who want to handle their matter - but not alone.

WHO THIS IS FOR

Navigating a legal process on your own is a lot. We are your translator. You leave informed, not dependent.

Knowledge Sharing Counsel is built for the pro se client who wants to handle their own matter, but needs a knowledgeable guide.

Whether you are trying to understand a document, prepare for a court date, or figure out where to start, we help you make sense of what you are looking at and move forward with confidence.

WHAT COACHING AND ADVISORY MEANS

Advisory and coaching means we help you understand - not take over.

We review your documents, explain what they mean, help you identify key issues, and help you prepare to handle your own matter with confidence. We do not appear in court on your behalf, file documents for you, communicate with opposing parties, or serve as attorney of record. Our role is limited to the advisory and coaching services described in your engagement agreement.

You remain in the driver’s seat. We make sure you know how to navigate the road.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Three tiers with one goal: leaving informed, not dependent.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Every KSL engagement begins with an intake form and a discovery call so we understand exactly what you are navigating before your first session.

  • You submit your documents in advance. We review them before we meet, not during. You will never sit across from someone who is seeing your situation for the first time.

  • You will leave with something. Whether that is a plain-language memo, a Court Ready Summary, a clear next step, or a referral to the right resource, you will not leave empty-handed.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • KSL covers one primary document or matter per engagement. Additional documents or a second unrelated matter require a separate conversation.

  • Court Ready is available for family court child support and visitation matters only. Custody, contested divorce, neglect or abuse proceedings, orders of protection, emergency applications, housing court proceedings, and appeals are outside scope. If your situation requires representation, we will tell you clearly and refer you to the right person.

  • Know-your-rights and legal coaching sessions may be available for tenant rights, lease comprehension, tenant succession questions, public benefits navigation, and low-stakes family matters limited to child support and visitation. These sessions are educational and advisory only. They do not include court representation, agency representation, hearing advocacy, filings, appeals, negotiations, emergency legal intervention, or ongoing case management.

  • All KSL services are limited-scope advisory and coaching only. We help you understand and prepare; we do not take over, appear, file, negotiate, or communicate on your behalf. If your situation requires more than that, we will tell you honestly and refer you to the right person.
